Roon ARC app won't open after reinstall on Android (ref#X0L0UF)

· My Arc app fails happened to coincide with returning from travel and running in offline mode. Switching back to online mode wouldn’t work, so assuming this was an app anomaly, I deleted the app from my Android and attempted to reinstall. After many attempts, the app won’t open. At all.

I’m living with mobile Tidal for the moment, but REALLY hoping for suggestions…after ripping +400 CDs onto my Roon presence, I’m missing the app, and paying for a service I can't use.

Please first try these to ensure ARC isn’t in a corrupt state:

  1. Go to Android Settings → Apps → Roon ARC
  2. Tap Storage
  3. Select “Clear Storage” and “Clear Cache”
  4. Reboot the phone
Now try reinstalling from the Play Store. If the app still won’t open, clear the cache per the steps above and then uninstall ARC again.

Next, try the APK download from our webpage here instead of the Play Store version. Access this URL from a phone and install the side-load:

https://download.roonlabs.net/builds/RoonARC.apk

Can you confirm whether you’re still encountering this issue after trying the APK download? Account diagnostics still show some ARC errors, but we haven’t seen any activity on this thread in a few days. We’ll watch closely for your reply. Thank you!

Thanks for checking back on this. Installed the APK after other steps failed. ARC stable in 30 mins of use following that.
