Describe the issue

I am a happy Roon user in the US. I use Nucleus One as my dedicated Roon server. However, I have been trying to get Roon Arc to work, but keep getting a n error message that says that Roon Arc cannot securely access my Roon server. Please advise. Thanks!

Describe your network setup

Router connected to google mesh network

You have the MulitpleNatFound error. This may be caused either by having two routers in your home (in which case it may be solvable by changing some router settings) or by how your ISP has set things up (in which case it might or might not be solvable, depending on your ISP).

However, as of today there is a new update for the Nucleus One which makes it support a VPN setup with Tailscale, which should solve the problem in either case and may be most straightforward. So after running the Nucleus One update, you could set that up.

Here is the release announcement for this update:

And here are instructions for setting up the Tailscale solution. Note: this seems not up to date, ignore the STEP TWO (as this described getting the pre-release version for the Nucleus One update, but this is not necessary anymore. A normal system update suffices).

Some additional info (though also not yet up to date regarding Roon OS / Nucleus One).

Hi @Romit_Majumdar,

Please see the updated version of the article at the link above. We’ve corrected some stale, old information.

Your best bet is to rely on Tailscale to bypass the extra NAT layer that is blocking port forwarding. This will prove far simpler than attempting to re-configure the network to dodge your ISP implementation.

Post here if you have any questions.
