Once I have been using ARC for a while, roon core (and therefore, ARC as well) will stop loading. The issue is solved by remotely accessing my core and restarting the Room desktop app.
-This trigger for this is very hard to pinpoint. It seems very random, some days I get hours in-between the disconnection, some days it happens multiple times/hour.
-my internet connection itself is very fast and stable, it shouldn’t be the problem.
-the issue persists even with Windows firewall completely off.
I am on holiday at the moment and I have ended up deleting ARC from my phone for similar reasons and using PlexAmp which has been working perfectly for 3 days since I started.
I have been using Tailscale to connect and restart the cores, but it looks like it has happened again quite quickly. Strangely it sent loads of previously plaid music to last.fm and stopped.
There seems to be complaints of Car Play and Android Auto causing crashes and I have been using AA while away. Also discussions that it doesn’t recover well from being in an area with no data.
Thank you @The_Incredible_Rook for referencing my thread here. As you can see there are a lot of similar reports of other people over there. And thank you for posting your issue there as well. I think it is important to keep the reports in the other thread piling up so eventually Roon support has to react.
If @Michael_Harris does not mind, please provide your experience also in the other thread so that it can get logged in the bigger picture as well.
Hi @GalaxyGlider it’s not my thread so please carry on. While I have finally given up on ARC, I would love to see it improve to make it usable in more environments.
