Roon ARC connectivity issue after network downtime (ref#44K6GB)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Can’t reach my Server, remotes or ARC

Can’t connect to my Server, remotes or ARC

· Other ARC issues

Tell us what's going on

· Roon Arc can't access Roon Server. My network went down for a couple weeks while I was out of town due to my fiber service line getting cut by a utility crew. When I restarted everything, Roon Arc no longer connects.

Tell us about your home network

· Router/Firewall is a Firewalla Gold. Cisco Switch F236F5. Then Mac Studio. All connected via ethernet. I have a wireguard VPN through the Firewalla router as well.

Thank you for the report.

Your diagnostics show “status_code”: 530 and “error code: 1016”. These errors indicate a temporary issue with the cloud infrastructure provider (Cloudflare), which is preventing your Roon Core from successfully running the connectivity test.

Please give it some time and keep an eye on the status page: CloudFlare Status Page

Because the test itself is failing to reach our servers, the “Not Ready” status and the UPnP errors you see might be misleading. Your actual connection configuration may be fine.

Please try this practical test: Ignore the error message in Roon Settings for a moment.

  1. Disable Wi-Fi on your phone (switch to 4G/5G).
  2. Open the Roon ARC app.

Does it connect and play music? If it works, you can safely ignore the error message while we resolve the server-side outage. Please let us know the result!

Thank you for the feedback and recommendations. I hope cloudfare finishes their updates soon! I am using roon arc now via my wireguard vpn. If I switch to cellular connection without wireguard, roon arc won’t connect.

Yes!! Should’ve responded when it started working at some point yesterday I believe. Thank you all for keeping me posted about the CloudFlare issue.
