Roon ARC connectivity issue on Astell & Kern SE300 (ref#EU5IX2)

What’s happening?

Describe the issue

I just installed Roon ARC on my Astell & Kern SE300 player. It is the latest version 1.68.362, and the firmware on the A&K is up to date. My Roon server is a Nucleus+ and has no issues in my home. However, when I try to use RoonARC on the A&K device, I get the message that the Roon server is online, but there is an issue preventing access. "Go to the Roon App for more information."

Describe your network setup

Router is an Exfinity modem-router and no extenders are in use. The switch is a Netgear gigabyte smart switch.

Now I am told that I must prove that Roon ARC was downloaded to the SE300 from the Roon website. When I try to log in with my very valid password, I’m told it is invalid.

Hello @John_Wyant,

Thank you for the update.

To better understand what’s happening, could you please share a few screenshots showing:

  • The exact error message displayed on your A&K SE300 device in Roon ARC.
  • What you see in Roon → Settings → Roon ARC on your Roon application

Also, when you try to log in, do you see any CAPTCHA or security message on the screen?

Finally, have you already configured port forwarding on your Xfinity router for Roon ARC?

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to guide you through the next steps.

After reading all of the information on Roon ARC, I’ve decided not to pursue it with my A&K, So, thanks , anyway.
