Can you please try to play the same song from your non Apple device via Roon ? Let it be Windows pc or Android phone/tablet.

Yes, this exact issue occurs on my Galaxy Z Flip 3 tested with the same songs.
And Roon (not ARC) is not affected by this issue. This is strictly ARC-only issue.

In your screenshot, the iPhone was connected via LTE/cellular data. Around that timestamp on Dec 24 in ARC logs, we see the ARC framework struggling to retry network connections to your server and upstream services after a connectivity interruption. We’d like to test whether this lyric issue with longer tracks presents when you’re using home WiFi.

Can you please play the same song from your screenshots when using the iPhone on your home network? Let us know if lyrics fall out of sync.

From there, we’re going to pass this to our QA team so we can reproduce the issue internally. If we determine a fix needs to be implemented, we’ll create a ticket in the development pipeline and notify you here.

It always happens. And it’s purely display glitch. To clarify, the lyrics are technically in sync, but it’s pushed down to the point that the current position is way down what ARC thinks it actually is (so it shows previous ones). I guess it doesn’t like lyrics with long lines.

Thanks for confirming that the lyrics are indeed in the actal correct spot, but it just appears to be a display issue due to long lines of text. Do you have any changed display text size options turned on your phone? I assume this issue only occurs for some tracks, while others work as expected?

I do set my text size to the smallest option. It does happen to all tracks I have with lyrics enabled since they are all in CJK language & have long lines. I don’t have anything with lyrics 100% in English to test right now.

THanks for confirming that, I’ll forward your overvations over to the team. Can you please write a few of the tracks causing this behavior and let us know the names here? It will be easier to copy + paste since the track is in a different language. As for testing an English song, do you have access to any streaming service? Any English track with lyrics would be ok for the test.

I do have Tidal connected so yeah I can test songs from that.
For the list: (Tidal link also provided for convenience and ease of testing)

I do have more songs that exhibit the issue but those are either:

  1. Do not exist on Tidal, or
  2. Song does exist on Tidal but has no lyrics on there.
