Describe your network setup

Roon network is via a Linsys Velop Home Wireless Mesh Network. Roon Server IP is 10.223.1.94 and i have 8 access points within the home on the 10.223.1 domain.

Hello @JamCom,

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

Would you kindly clarify, do you have any other router in front of your “Linsys Velop Home Wireless Mesh Network”

Have you tried to perform the port forwarding instead of using UPnP?

Hello vadim, thanks for your prompt response. Yes, there is a router in front of the Mesh network with IP 192.168.1.etc. However the Roon server is on the 10.223.etc IP. I have tried following the port forwarding instructions on both the Mesh network but it is asking for for internal and external ports. Please check the attached screen shot of current config page of the Mesh rounter plus Roon server screenshot. thank you.

Hello @JamCom,

Thank you for the update.

Based on your setup, it appears you have two networks with separate DHCP servers running. This typically indicates a double NAT situation, which means we’ll need to configure port forwarding on both devices handling NAT.

On the primary router (the one connected directly to your ISP), you will need to set up a port forwarding rule pointing to the internal IP address of your mesh network gateway — likely something like 192.168.1.xxx port 55000, based on your configuration.

The second port forwarding rule—from the mesh router to your endpoint device—already appears to be configured correctly according to your screenshot.

That said, this kind of setup can complicate network traffic and impact performance. We recommend disabling the DHCP server on your mesh router and allowing only the primary router to handle DHCP and NAT. This will simplify your network topology and allow for a more reliable and streamlined connection for Roon and other services.
