Absolutely, not a fan of the new support format, so I’ll reply to this thread, with the following:
This is my first issue over the last few years with Roon since installing Roon on a Debian LXC through Proxmox (4 CPU’s of a i7-1260P / 8GB RAM).
I don’t have an issue with Roon, only Roon ARC - again which has been running perfectly until I believe the last update.
Everything is correctly poor forwarded - see above screenshot.
I don’t have issues when connected to Wi-Fi’s away from my LAN.
I only have issues when on cellular / mobile - no matter the coverage. I’ve tested it with no VPN, with ProtonVPN and my own Wireguard VPN servers. No difference between these arrangements.
The error I get is “Poor Connection” when I try and play something
ARC reaching Poor Connection only on cellular, while Wi-Fi away from home still works, points us toward the mobile path specifically rather than your general ARC setup.
To narrow this down, we’d like to check two things:
What are your playback settings within Arc?
Do you have any DSP active when this happens?
Does this only happen with Qobuz / streaming content?
If you set your playback quality to ‘bandwidth optimized ’, do you run into the same issues?
Just wanted to touch base on this. Since ARC is only showing Poor Connection on cellular, we’d still like to narrow it down by checking your ARC playback settings, whether any DSP is active, whether the issue happens only with Qobuz or other streaming content, and if switching playback quality to bandwidth optimized changes anything. If you have a chance, send us what you see in those settings and whether the cellular behavior is any different after that test, and we can take the next step.
Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.
