Roon ARC, Port Forwarding, and Tailscale

I have not been able to get Roon ARC to work by using Tailscale with Wifi disabled on my iPhone. I have tried to get it to work numerous times with different options enabled/disabled. ARC worked fine when not using Tailscale, by just enabling Port Forwarding on my router, as recommended by Roon support. I have received four security alerts from Xfinity this month since enabling the Port Forwarding. Attacks were stopped, but is this anything to really worry about?

They are just security alerts, i.e., the same as a camera doorbell alerting you when someone approaches your door.

You were never attacked. A bad actor just checked to see if your door was unlocked. It wasn’t, so they moved onto the next “house”.

Use port forwarding with confidence, and enjoy your music again.

FYI, I was getting security alerts from my Xfinity router after setting up port forwarding for ARC.

So I deleted the port forwarding, but was still receiving alerts. I turned the port forward back on, and decided not to worry about it.
