Hello @BRANDON_SEITZ,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support.

It appears that you’re receiving a false positive notification regarding ARC readiness in the settings.

Could you kindly clarify the type of connection you’re using to access your Roon Server? For example, are you using port forwarding, UPnP, or a VPN?

As a quick troubleshooting step, please try logging out and logging back in on the remote devices when you located in the same network and check the behavior

Hi @BRANDON_SEITZ,

Diagnostics indicate that you might have connected to ARC since your last post here - we’d like to confirm whether you still require assistance with this connectivity problem. This thread will auto-close without user activity in a few days.

Otherwise, happy listening, and please reach out in a new topic thread if anything comes up with ARC or Roon!

As a reminder, the port test in Roon Settings only refers to RoonServer’s ability to reach ARC via port forward. It listens for a response through the designated port from Roon’s diagnostic servers to make sure authenticated/secured traffic from Roon can pass. It doesn’t actually ping the downstream cellular connection the phone, which means the cell provider’s implementation can be a vulnerability here. A VPN on the phone can also interfere.

We usually recommend Tailscale for users who are encountering blockages with port forwarding. See here for more information: https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/arc-and-tailscale-connect-to-roonserver-without-port-forwarding

Thanks!
