ROON ARC taking forever to sync for the first time

I have not used Roon Arc in some time and this morning when I connected to my server it wanted to sync "for the first time ..’ and it was taking hours. I read through all the posts in this community, the advice and even posts outside the Roon Labs community on this very topic.

I disconnected Qobuz and then proceeded to delete testflight and make sure that all of my versions were/are the latest production and NOT early access. I cleared the cache on my server, and then powered down the server and re-started. On my iPhone I made sure delete both Roon Remote and Roon ARC and install fresh production copies of the apps.

Earlier, before i did all of the above, I would experience an initial sync error alert in a red box, now after having taken the steps, the syncing continues but no alerts, and for all intents and purposes the sync continues.

According to Rooon the size of my database is 14 GB

A stated I have done just about everything I could think of. I’m going to let the process continue until it doesn’t.

Thanks in advance.

I’d open a Support ticket if I were you

I have 126k tracks and it takes a while.

I do feel it’s a little quicker on the latest release, B1554.

You have twice the amount of tracks than me, so could take twice as long. Usually a couple of minutes for me now.

But once done, that’s it :face_with_peeking_eye:

The process has been going on for for longer than minutes :frowning:

Right, I overlooked this in the screenshot. @David_Blumenstein is probably lucky if it works at all with this library size.

Is your server on early access?

everything is on “production” level, no early access and if it is the size of my library and database, I can be fine with that, that’s on me
