I reported an issue about a month ago whereby Roon was not allowing me to play streamed content of tracks from my NAS drive. Although strongly it does allow mw to browse my libraries , both NAS and Tidal.
The solution was to log out/disconnect my account, restart my computer and log in again.
This has now happened 3 or 4 more times and is quite annoying. The previous 12 months prior to this has been seamless, what’s changed?
I’d say this would only happen when your accounts on the forum are the same as with which you log into Roon server on your nas.
For security reasons, this is not advisable.
Thanks for reaching out. To make sure I understand you correctly here, you are saying that only the NAS is affected by this playback issue, but streaming content such as TIDAL is working as expected?
How is the NAS set up in Roon, are you using Hostname or IP Address connection type? If you are using Hostname, can you try to use IP Address instead? It is also helpful to set up Reserved IP in your router settings, to ensure that the IP of the NAS will not change in the future.
If this suggestion still does not help, can you please use these instructions to access your RoonServer logs, upload a set to the below link, and let me know? Thanks!
There were a couple of typos in my original Description which I’ve amended here
