Hi @spockfish will we be getting the updated 2.62 Roon Bridge with the new build? As 2.60 seems to be broken and can’t enable the zone in Roon.
2.60 is the latest build of Roon Bridge. You have to make sure your Roon Server is using 2.60 or later in order to have zones enabled.
I see, thanks @DDPS.
According to me, Roon Bridge can only be updated by Roon. So Harry cannot push a Roon Bridge, only Roon can do that.
Is there anything I can do if updating the server isn’t an option? Like downgrading Roon bridge to an older version maybe or won’t that work?
You can always try to reinstall Roon Bridge via the tab “Advanced” at the bottum. That will reinstall the latest version of Roon Bridge (according to me).
The issue I have is my Roon Software and Roon Server are too old for the latest version of Roon Bridge 2.60.
OK. Why aren’t you upgrading your Roon Core and all your Roon Remotes to 2.62? Than all will work perfectly with Roon Bridge 2.60.
It was working flawlessly before the 2.60 roon bridge update, I really love this software it has been amazing seeing it develop through the years into what it is today and I’m sure it will continue to develop much further, I wouldn’t have been able to built my own music streamer without it, updating my software just isn’t an option and this might be the end of the road for Ropieee for me which really sucks. ![]()
I really don’t understand what this has to do with RoPieee. Roon controls the Roon Bridge, and also updates.
Sorry Harry, it’s most likely got nothing to do with Ropieee and everything to do with Roon I’m just trying to figure out what I can do to get Roon working again.
If Roon isn’t working with Roon Bridge 2.60 then you’ll need to open a support ticket.
In which version is your Roon Core actually? Are you running in 2.62?
In which version are all your Roon Remotes actually?
Roon Core and Server 2.47, RoPieee Release 2026.01.
Are you able to upgrade Core and Server to 2.62?
Unfortunately not.
I don’t think that there’s a way around this. I suppose if you find and earlier version of Roon Bridge and install this your self on your Raspberry Pi then that might work, obviously disabling upgrades. I’ve never had experience of this myself and it’s not something that Roon Support would be able to help with.
I wish I could, I appreciate the help and suggestions, Thank you.
Hi Darryn,
Pure out of curiosity, can you tell us what the reason is that you cannot upgrade to the latest version of Roon Core and Roon Remote?
In any case, by upgrading your Roon system, all your problems with Roon Bridge on RoPieee will be gone.
