Roon client on windows cannot connect to roon server

Networking Gear & Setup Details

two 2.5 Gbit/s LAN connections
one dhcp configured
one static ip configured
2.5 Gbit/s switches used for connection

Connected Audio Devices

Audient ID14 MKII
USB connection to DAC

Number of Tracks in Library

13,000 tracks

Description of Issue

Roon client on windows 11 PC ‘not responding’ to connection to server/core

server/core on linux host successfully connects to iphone and ipad for control.

Any pointers welcome.

just tried a router reboot. still the same behaviour…

Temporarily stop the firewall on the windows pc and see if it connects.

no change when I disable the firewall…

Roon can get confused with two separate IP addresses on the same box. Try disabling one of the LAN connections and see if you can connect.

Already tried that on the windows host. did not change anything. removed the static ip link and kept the dhcp link. have not tried changes on the server/core. rebooting it now

ok got it going. had to do a complete removal of pc version. re-install was successful. have roon back now. have no idea why it stopped working…
