Description of Issue

I want to know if Roon works outside the U.S. (I spend about 3 months a year in Israel and travel a lot). If not, why? If so, are there any limitations? Will all of my music be available? Would I have to use a VPN?

I don’t have Roon yet. I am trying to decide if I should get a subscription.

At home: 2.1 stereo setup, 5.1 multichannel receiver, turntable, cd player, iMac, etc.

I could either connect with ethernet or WiFi

Roon works just fine in Germany (and many other places, haven’t seen anything mentioned that it didn’t work, and there are certainly users all over the world), and there are certainly users in Israel as well.

Any streaming services you use within Roon depend on their terms and regions

Further to what @Suedkiez wrote, there’s actually a Google Map where users can (voluntarily) add their location, so it gives some idea of the spread. Bear in mind that this represents only a very small fraction of Roon’s total userbase, and the data is from a few years back…

Hi everyone, I created a Google Map that you can add yourself to if you wish! Roon User Map Please feel free to add yourself if you like. I went through and added those who have already posted in the thread, but if you want to update anything please edit the map yourselves. Keep in mind that this is visible to anyone, so consider using a general location rather than your precise coordinates! Oh, and I’m in Appleton, WI, USA!
