I recently bought a new Mac. I took my OLD Mac and put it on my network as my Roon Core. The OLD Mac was already running Roon and was backed up via TimeMachine.
I used my TimeMachine backup on my NEW Mac to transfer all of my settings including Roon. I uninstalled and reinstalled Roon only to have my NEW Mac scan and scan for the Roon Core. I have followed the directions of other threads and have deleted the Library Roon contents, Disabled Bitdefender, etc etc. I have even tried to directly go to the OLD Mac IP address to find the Roon core to no avail. Any advice?
So we can better assist you, please describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.
Are other remote devices able to connect to your Core?
I would remove roon completely from the new Mac as time machine restores do not play well with a server/database type application like Roon. Once its completely removed including all the library based roon folders then install roon again and restore from a USB stick backup from your old core setup.
