Description of Issue
After the previous update, the core was not found, resolved by directly connecting the core to the router, bypassing the netgear switch. Again, after the latest update, the core is not found and does not appear on the network map. Leads changed but not resolved. I only have a basic working knowledge of networks etc. Is there anything else I could try before I rebuild the nuc? Won’t be updating in a hurry again!
Thanks
Many thanks for your rapid response and concise advise, suitable for a computer numptie like me. I folllowed your suggestions and it became clear during the process that the nuc will not boot with my USB hard drive music core connected, it appears its looking here to boot first. Dont think it used to be like this but performing a netwrok reset with everything pulled out seemed to work. Could probably solve it by fiddling with the bios but hey, it works now and I will stick with that. It cheers me that people are still willing to help out for nothing more than a word of thanks. All the best.
Thanks for coming in. As per my reply to Menzies, the problem seems to be not disconnecting the music store hard drive before the system reboots after an update, but you are right, and I am surprised how often things like switches and leads fail.
