Roon Core on new desktop - ARC now not working

Machine details:

Dell XPS 8950
Windows 11
12 GenInter(R) Core
32GB RAM

Rogers Ignite Modem/Router

231478 Tracks

I just purchased a new Dell desktop and foolishly, I didn’t follow the instructions on moving over my library to the new machine. Basically I ended up performing a brand new install with all my music on an external hard drive.
Unfortunately when setting up Roon ARC I’ve been given this error:

{
“connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“99.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“2607:fea8:a5e0:ba00:5964:73c8:2eb2:71b0”,“router_external_ip”:“99.aaa.bbb.ccc”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“10.0.0.1”,“found_upnp”:true}

On my previous machine I was able to use the router app and use port forwarding with success. I was following the same steps but I did notice the the IP address listed in Roon’s Arc menu did not equal the one listed on my route?

Any help would be appreciated so I can start using Arc again in the car.

Thank you
Matt

On your router’s port forwarding rule configuration page, you probably can correct the port forwarding rule by updating the IP address of the Roon Core of your new PC.

Ok the IP addresses now match but I’ still getting error:

{
“connectivity”: {“status”:“NetworkError”,“status_code”:504,“error”:“error: Error: ETIMEDOUT, response code: undefined, body: undefined connected? undefined”},
“external_ip”: {“actual_external_ip”:“99.aaa.bbb.ccc”,“actual_external_ipv6”:“2607:fea8:a5e0:ba00:4dc9:f352:9ac5:af12”,“router_external_ip”:“99.aaa.bbb.ccc”},
“natpmp_autoconfig”: {“status”:“NotFound”},
“upnp_autoconfig”: {“server_ip”:“10.0.0.1”,“found_upnp”:true}
}

It appears you may have UPnP active on one of your routers based on this part of the error message:

Can you confirm if UPnP is active or inactive on your router(s)? If it is active, please de-activate it, and keep the port forwarding rule active.

Unfortunately, my IP does not allow my to go into the settings of the router and states I should only be using the app. The app allowed me to port forward, but it doesn’t contain any grand menu settings to do what you’ve asked me. Not sure why this error would pop up, when my previous desktop (no change in router or its settings) allowed for this to function. Could it be any settings on the desktop itself?

Turned off firewall for a 15 minutes duration which cleared the error. I would need to add a port forwarding rule in place within McAfee but thus far I’ve been unsuccessful.
