Roon core on NUC runs perfect, but album art mismatched on iPad

I am running an i7 NUC Windows 10, Synology 1518+ 5 bay raid 5. DCS Vivaldi DAC and Upsampler. Network playback directly into DCS Upsampler from NAS. Runs flawlessly. However late today I turned on the system. The artwork on the core matches perfectly as usual. I turn on the iPad Pro Next to my chair and about 20 percent of my artwork is mismatched from the artist and actual album…I tried logging out and back in, full reboot, checked all settings???HELP

Found a solution. I deleted roon and database from NUC AND APP FROM iPad. Reinstalled core and app. Works fine. Somehow I must have developed a curupt data file. Seems to easy to do… But, it’s Working again.

This can be a known effect of iOS updates, as I recall. @mike knows the details.

I think you could have fixed it by just deleting the iOS app entirely and reinstalling. You didn’t have to delete your NUC database, I think.

Did you change your Core install or restore from a backup? That’s the most common cause of this behavior.

Thanks for your questions and responses. I deleted the actual files and downloaded from Room. I also deleted the active database. Also deleted the iPad app and downloaded a new copy. While this seems drastic, it did solve my problem.

Next time I will start with the iPad app should this issue return. Sometimes late at night in the “heat of the battle” the most dramatic methods take the place of more analytical approaches to problems…

Thanks

I have run into this problem in the past both on iOS and the OSX / Windows remotes. On iOS I was able to clear by deleting and re-installing the app. On OSX / Windows removing the Cache directory from Roon/Cache did the trick.
