Roon could not connect to HQ Player/Authentication Error

Roon Core Machine

Small Green Computer i7 server running Linux Ubuntu.

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Linksys router which has been working perfectly normal, I have confirmed internet connection all webpages load normally.

Connected Audio Devices

Sonore Signature Rendu.

Number of Tracks in Library

5600 tracks.

Description of Issue

HQ Player will not run normally however, as it starts and stops immediately and I get an error message that Roon could not connect to HQPlayer as well as authentication error message. It was working normally when I went to bed, got up and no luck. Roon RAAT works normally in Roon via the Rendu.

Can you please help with this issue?

Have you also reached out in the HQPlayer section?

Yes, Jussi said to make sure RAAT and HQP were not running at the same time. In my setup it’s impossible because in the Sonore Rendu network streamer you can only set one at a time. So that is not the issue. Anything else to help?

Hello Thomas, I started getting this same error today when I tried to listen to my system. If worked fine on Friday night. Did you find a solution? Thx!

Ha, Arthur, I did! It was a issue with my network router. I reset the router and thigs are once again functioning normally. Hope this helps!
