Roon crashes when using Focus

Description of Issue

When using focus from a certain limited number of artist pages Roon abruptly exits.

For example, if I bring up “Paul McCreesh” roon sometimes crashes when loading his artist page. If it doesn’t crash, when I go to the discography tab under McCreesh, open focus and click on view more under composers, roon crashes. I can click on view more ensembles, labels, performers etc… and roon stays running.

I have seen this happen with a small number of artists when clicking on view more composers under focus. It happens with “Richard Hickox” as well.

This does not happen using focus under my library > albums as was reported in past years on this forum.

Roon is otherwise running well. Pages load quickly, searches are quick, album art loads quickly. Haven’t noticed any other issues with the software or other times when Roon crashes.

I’m guessing this is a Roon/Qobuz problem rather than an issue on my end with a large library, but I don’t know. I loaded log files under “CoralRadLogs” to the Roon Logs Upload Server.

Just had it happen with composer Johann Friedrich Fasch > Discography > Focus > conductors > View more - crash.

Yes, same crush for me.

wanted to try to limit the focus to library but I have no conductors metadata in the albums I have composed by Johann Friedrich Fasch (for performers and producers view more does not crush when from my library filter is applied or it is not applied to focus).

Mine also crashed with performers but not with producers under Fasch

I was thinking maybe focusing only on library makes a difference. And the crash is streaming related and we get differences Tidal vs Qobuz

Yes, focus on library stops the crash in all cases for me.

I’m getting few additional artist pages crashing Roon and crashes when using Focus, but most pages load and most of the time focus works without incident.

I attempted to reproduce the issue with the artists you mentioned, but I was unable to do so on my end. Are you still seeing this issue at the present time? Can you please let us know the exact local time + date of the crash when you next experience it?

Does the issue only happen on your Macbook pro, or are you able to reproduce the crashes on other Roon Remotes as well?
