I bought a Google Chromecast and set it up so Roon could be displayed on my TV. I was hoping for a full dynamic display of information on Roon much like I see on my iMac computer and the Roon app.
What is being displayed on my TV when Roon plays is a static background picture of the album artist. There is also a static image of the album artwork in the lower left had corner. The only dynamic information on the screen is the song title and running time.
I was hoping to be able to access the album reviews, performer credits and more. Have I missed something when setting up the Chromecast/Roon connection or is the limited static images and information all that is available for this Roon Display?
If you want the full Roon display you’ll have to mirror your computer screen to the Chromecast. You can do this with the Chrome web browser, for instance.
