Description Of Issue

Roon plays on remote devices. But not on the core machine. Does not pick up Realtek speakers on the core machine

Hi Yeow,

There are a couple of potential issues, so things to test.

  1. turn off any firewall/anitvirus on the PC and see if the remotes appear

but more likely, it is the Realtek Drivers causing an issue

  1. Make sure your realtek drivers are up to date by getting them from the video manufacturer not via Windows update. I would uninstall completely and then re-install the drivers.

  2. On machines which do not need those drivers for other things like games, I actually use the MS HD Audio drivers instead.

  3. Look and see if you have a nahimic service/driver running. Disable it, reboot, and see if the audio devices appear.
