Description of Issue

When I stream Avantime by Agnes Obel via the Tidal app to WiiM Pro or Chromecast, the album shows 24-Bit/48 kHz. When streaming via the Roon App, it shows the album only as 16-Bit/44.1 kHz and the sound quality is much worse. In Versions, Roon app shows 3 versions of the album, all of them just 16-Bit/44.1 kHz. And yes, I have “Show hidden tracks and albums” switched on.

What are your settings in
Settings ->Services ->Tidal set too

Actually ignore that.
I already own a 24/48 version of this album.
All three on Tidal show the same as yours.
I am guessing it is because WIIM and others are using the new high resolution files and Roon doesn’t have that yet and are still on the old MQA service. It is being worked on though

As @Michael_Harris has said Roon has not updated to the latest API yet to allow access to the lossless flac they have added recently. Only a few have made the update at this time. For Roon due to how it integrates on a higher level than just the API the switch over isn’t that simple, plus a lot of other things have taken dev time. It’s in the works and will be updated in due course.

Ok, thanks Michael

Thanks for explanation. Hope it comes soon.
