Roon Does Not Recognize Meitner MA3 DAC as Endpoint (ref#OVBTTS)

Describe the issue

I have an Innuous Zenith Mk3 functioning as Roon core. I is hardwired to my home network/modem via Cat8 ethernet cable. I have three systems powered by the Zenith that run Roon. Two are simple Pro-Ject Stream Box S2 systems that Roon 'sees' fine and works with. The third, main, system ran a BMC Ultra DAC and Roon saw that just fine and ran just fine. Today, I changed the BMC Ultra DAC to a Meitner MA3 DAC. The Meitner is hardwired to the Zenith via USB cable and an RJ45 cable from the 'server' port on the back of the Zenith. Roon does not 'see' or list the MA3 as a zone or endpoint and I cannot use Roon to play any music through the the MA3. Yet I can play Quobuz through the MA3 using the application MConnect with either the USB or RJ45 connection that is connected from the Zenith to the MA3. Also, I could not get Roon to 'see' or list the MA3 as an endpoint by connecting it directly to the modem via Cat8 ethernet cord. The Zenith is configured a pure Roon Core and the MA4 is listed as Roon Ready. Please help to resolve this, I like Roon, I do not like MConnect.

Describe your network setup

Fios optical line to a G1000 modem to a Silent Angel Bonn8 ethernet switch to Supra Cat 8 ethernet cable to an Ether Regen Switch to a Via Blue silver ethernet cord into the Innuous Zenith Mk3. Via Blue ethernet and USB cable from the Zenith to the Meitner MA3.

Did you check Roon’s Settings|Audio page and enabled the new DA there?
Can you please post a screenshot of your Audio page in Roon’s settings?

Hello,
my Meitner MA3 is recognized in ROON via WiFi and LAN (past), displayed and plays perfectly.
Please check whether the player is listed under “Audio” and activated. The MA3 must be switched on and connected to the network in order to be recognized.

Thorsen, thank-you. My MA3 is connected to the internet and my local network. Fing finds it from my destop computer and lists it as an “audio player”. I am wondering if there is anything else I need to do to get Roon to list it? As previously mentioned, MConnect works and plays Quobuz through the MA3 to my amps, speakers and headphones. Just that, my time investment is in Roon. Don’;t really like MConnect.

BlackJack, Thank-you! That solved the problem. I completely forgot about that step and I knew better. Thanks again!!
