I followed the tutorial for creating a network path in a shared folder on my MacBook pro by copying the location of the Music folder and adding a forward slash ("/users/laurencelandow" is in the Music folder), but Roon will not accept this path.
To be clear, Roon will back up its database, but Roon will not back up your music.

Understood. I have an external HD attached to my music server for that purpose.
It’s not forward slash.
Use \\192.168.1.1\Music as an example.
You have to type the IP address with \\ in front in Roon, and then browse if you’re after backing up your Roon database.
According to my findings, the backup (actually restore) does not work at all.
