Roon doesn't register my dac and amp and wont play

Description of Issue

Roon wont detect my setup! Wont play sound or give me the option to select my zen dac as audiozone. It has worked fine before recent updates. Theres in general too many bugs with the programmme for me to describe here now. It frezzes up regularely and need a restart. It wont add albums to my library. It cant detect my audiohardware. If there isnt one good solution to all of these issues Ive had it with roon. It has so much potential but things need to work all of the time not 40/50% of the time. I spend to much time problem solving and to little time acutally listening to music.

I was wondering, would you be able to try the steps below?

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Restore a backup
