Description of Issue

Roon dropped all of my output zones except my HI Fi system. They were a couple of speakers, my Mac Book plus headphones.

Has anyone had this happen and if so do you know a fix? Thank you.

What does “dropped” mean? Screenshots please of what you are seeing, e.g. Roon > Settings > Audio.
Please also fill out the questions in the posting template about your network gear, setup details, and what the connected audio devices were. Otherwise support does not know what they are dealing with.

Hey @Doug_Dornan, to receive appropriate help, it would be really helpful if you could complete the template provided below.

You can copy and paste it in your reply.

Please be sure to include details of your core, network, storage location of your media files, and any messages displayed by Roon.

Including these details in your first post helps resolve your issues faster.

Thank you.

Roon Core Machine is a 2021 Mac Book Pro. Here’re the details.

Setup is through WiFI and my local Shaw router/WIFI. It has worked fine for years. Just this week all of my output options are gone. I was using my apple Air Max headphones, ear buds, B&O speaker plus my Mac book and iPhone options to listen to the music. I can access all of them through Tidal but Roon has lost them all.

Tracks totalling about 18,000

I can only listen to Roon on my HI Fi equipment. It gives me no other options. I hope this helps with the details.

Hi @Doug_Dornan,

Please try one of the following and let us know if it helps resolve the situation:

  1. Refresh your RAATServer.
  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RAATServer”
  • Rename the “RAATServer” folder to “RAATServer_old”
  • Restart the Roon App to generate a new RAATServer folder
  1. Kill the CoreAudio daemon in the MacOS Terminal app.
  • Go to Applications → Utilities → Terminal .
  • Type in sudo killall coreaudiod and press Enter . This should reset your Core Audio daemon.

We’ll be watching for your response.
