Roon endpoint on Mac mini late 2012; now roon either crashes or renew page every few seconds

Roon Core Machine

NUC 8 2018 or 2019 / i8 processor / WD “my passport” 2 or 4 TB hard drive / ROCK
(the core seem to work fine; I can run Roon on other endpoints via WIFI - phones, IPAD, Macbook etc, without any issues.)

Networking Gear & Setup Details

ZTE router and LAN network; connected to both Mini and NUC
(Network work fine - no problem streaming movies or Tidal lossless music to the Mac Mini)
I tried to switch to WIFI connection ; I saw similar behaviour.

Connected Audio Devices

Mac Mini late 2012 model as endpoint, new solid state harddrive and old spinning HD.
optical out to Lyngdorf TDAI 2200 x 2 / Revel Ultima Saloon Speakers.
The optical out and cable etc work fine when playing Tidal app on the Mac Mini

Number of Tracks in Library

33000 tracks on harddrive.

Description of Issue

I had a previous problem where Roon gave multiple failure when i tried to play a track, or started to play a track and then jumped to the next and gave the same error message.
This issue was fixed thanks to your previous help.
Now I have a different issue. Roon start playing a track, and then crashes completely and close down on my Mini. When I open roon again, it flickers/resets itself every 3-4 seconds. I can hardly start a track in that time. Sometimes it can continue playing a track, while the flickering occur.
Please help
I believe it is not a network/core issue.
This is again not a network/core problem.
One crash just occurred today 25 May 09:59 (Thailand time) while playing track “bird on a wire” by Jennifer Warren. When I restarted Roon, it started resetting the roon page I was looking on every few seconds. This was about 10:01 for a few minutes.

Roon completely crashed again 10:44 while playing the Heartland album by Sko/Torp

is it normal with 12 days without a response?

Hey @Orca99,

Sorry to hear you’re having additional issues on your 2012 Mac remote. If possible, can you share a more recent date and time of when this issue occurred?

Is your local library currently being hosted on your 2012 Mac?

Does this occur no matter if you play local content, or streamed content from Tidal/Qobuz? If you’re able to share a video recording of this issue, it would be massively helpful!

I’ll be on standby for your reply. :+1:
