Thanks for the details about Roon not opening on your Mac desktop.
The diagnostics show that you are on a fairly outdated version of Roon, so the next step is to update by installing the latest version from our Downloads page.
What is the MacOS version of the Mac you’re currently using? Is it the same computer on which you’d previously installed Roon?
Just to confirm, the download package won’t unpack at all, or you’re not able to open Roon after installing?
If you’re using MacOS 15.0-26.0, double-check that you’ve provided Roon with local network permissions in your System Settings under Privacy & Security.
Do you have a Backup of your Roon database? If so, try navigating to your Database Location and deleting the RoonServer folder itself.
Please share any screenshots here that might show what you’re encountering. We’ll watch for your response and proceed from there.
Following up on our last exchange, were you able to remove the old Roon app, install a fresh copy from the downloads page, and then launch it from Applications rather than the installer window? If it still opens from the installer window or refuses to start, that would explain why the new version never replaced the old one, so please let us know what you are seeing and we can go from there.
Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.
