Describe the issue

I play Roon through a Naim NSC 222 streamer, using an Apple MacBook Pro as the Core. My MacBook Pro and the Naim streamer are connected by WiFi and by an ethernet connection that runs back to the house broadband router. Roon freezes frequently and cannot be restarted by restarting the Roon app. In order to unfreeze Roon I have to use Activity Monitor to stop the Roon Server Process and then restart the Roon app, which is very inconvenient when it is happening several times a day. Situations that lead to Room freezing include letting the MacBook Pro sleep while Roon is open. I am looking for suggestions on how to correct the problem of Roon freezing. Thanks.

Describe your network setup

I have a Verizon broadband modem/router and an Eero extender, but both the MacBook Pro core and the Naim NSC 222 streamer are connected to the router by ethernet cables.

Hello @leo.quigley

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.

However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.

First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.

Hi @leo.quigley,
