Roon hanging on start up

Roon Core Machine

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)
MacBook Pro (M1, 2020) running Mac OS Big Sur. Roon 1.8

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)
Virgin Media Hub 4 running Gig 1Fibre Broadband
Laptop connected via WiFi.

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)
Naim Uniti Nova & Naim Uniti Core connected via ethernet.

Description of Issue

Roon app hanging at start up. Just displays the Roon logo. Have tried uninstalling with no results. Prior to this 1.8 has been running perfectly on MacBook.
I’ve noticed a number of others in recent days.
Any advice appreciated.

Hi @chris_yates, can you please try this:

  • Exit out of Roon/Roon Server
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location - Database\Registry\Core
  • Locate your tidal_account file and delete it
  • Try to start Roon again
