Hello @mark2,

Thanks for the report and for the event viewer logs, though unfortunately, those logs are inconclusive. Can you please use these instructions to access your Roon + RoonServer logs and upload a set to the below link and let us know once uploaded? Thanks!

Hi

File *.MTA uploaded.

Just to add, in case useful:

I had previously tried reinstalling the Roon software but issue remained. However, when I also uninstalled databases, Roon did launch when reinstalled and a backup restored. In addition, when the PC was restarted the Roon Server reverted to not launching.

I have also just now found that on a PC restart Roon still doesn’t launch but if I then open Roon Server as an administrator manually, Roon itself then completes the launch. However, that manual starting of Roon Server has to be done each time the PC is started otherwise Roon still just hangs on the ‘Waiting for your Roon Server’ screen.

Kind Regards

Hi @mark2,
If you right click on Roon in you taskbar do you see "Launch at startup? checked like in the image below?

This should prevent you from running into the waiting for your server sometimes.

We received your .MTA file but can you please upload you RoonServer_logand Roon_log files here in a zipped folder? You can use these instructions if you need help.

Thanks, ‘Launch at startup?’ now checked and Roon Server now runs when Roon launched.

I’ve uploaded requested Log files.

Kind Regards

Hi @mark2,
Would you say this case is solved?

Hi Daniel

After I reinstalled Roon having deleted the databases twice, the issue appears not to be recurring, so ok with you closing the case.

Did the Log files I uploaded give any insight as to what the problem was?

Kind Regards
