· Roon seems incompatible with Apple OS 27.0 Golden Gate. Under the AUDIO tab it now does not see my Rose RS-130 so I am no longer able to play any music. It also no longer sees my Astell & Kern SP3000T in Roon Ready mode.
What you describe is consistent with the macOS 27 update. Golden Gate tightened what applications are allowed to do on the local network, and Roon Server is caught by it, which is why your Expert Pro stopped being visible even though nothing changed on your network or on the Devialet.
Everything Roon knows about this, and the steps to take, are in one place:
Please see @Carl’s helpful response above with a link to the main help article for this issue.
The latest MacOS 27 update falsely flags RoonServer as a thread with some deep-seated security. This prevents RoonServer from performing basic network device discovery scans, because MacOS won’t let it access the network.
There are a few terminal commands (outlined step-by-step in the tracking thread above) that you can use to bypass these security restrictions for now. The team is working on a long-term solution that will restore device discovery for MacOS 27.
Thank you for your patience. Please see the steps outlined in the thread linked above. If you have further questions after trying these steps, like @Carl mentioned, share them hear and we’ll promptly respond.
Dropping in to see if there are any updates on this. Were you able to try the macOS 27 workaround we linked, including launching Roon Server directly and the terminal steps from the article? If you are still not seeing your audio devices, reply here with what you are seeing and we’ll take it from there.
Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.
