Describe the issue

I can't install the app. I have mac os sonoma 14.5 (23F79) and I had roon installed on an old mac pro. I wanted to transfer it to the new one. I deleted the application from the old one but on the new Mac as soon as I try to install the app it crashes

Hi @giovanni_bertolotto,

We can see two RoonServer instances on your account at the moment, so let’s verify that you’ve fully deleted the original RoonServer install, rather than just the GUI component.

On the old Mac:

  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”

Also check that no third-party antivirus or stateful firewall software is interfering with Roon’s processes on the new machine.

Zooming out, be sure you followed the migration steps here when moving between machines: https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/migration

Let us know if this helps. If you continue to experience crashing after following these steps, please include any error messages or system crash reports generated here in a screenshot. Thank you.
