iMac 27" 2017 3.4 gi quad core 16 gb mem, os ventura 13.1

Tried to launch roon and got the error msg from my mac, “Roon” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash"

before I do this, I would like to know why this may have happened. I updated my OS to ventura a few a weeks ago, and have not tried to launch roon since, due to numerous power outages in our area (my stereo has been unplugged during this time).

What worked for me was to right-click on the Roon app in the Applications folder; a dialog box with 3 options appeared. One of the options was “Open”. Selected that, and Roon came up. After that little interaction, Roon now launches normally on subsequent tries.
