I have been rearranging and relabeling my music files on the NAS in hopes Roon can identify accordingly, my question is: can I do a rescan? or will Roon recognize changes on its own?

We should pick up changes automatically, but a rescan shouldn’t cause any issues.
yes, it will delete both copies ( or how many there are) of what ever track/album. This duplicate problem I am getting as well. Its wierd because I don’t have two copies of these albums but Roon says I do.

Sometimes this can happen if two storage locations are setup that include the same directory.
For example, if I had a storage location of \music\ and then added a second storage location of \music\christmas. Everything under the second storage location would be duplicated.
One way to investigate is to go examine the file path of both versions, click on 3 dot menu on a track, choose File Info and then look at the file location information. Comparing the file path information will provide some clue.
