Number of Tracks in Library

Description of Issue
The issue is that when I go to a playlist and filter out the duplicates, after I remove them it appears Roon is just filtering them out, as the playlist total track number doesn’t decrease, and after closing the playlist and returning I can see the duplicated tracks again. The screenshot is an example of removing some duplicates. There are no filters in place.
I can apparently no longer remove items from playlists. After I select them and hit remove, the playlist count changes to show that (apparently) the tracks I tried to remove are simply being temporarily filtered from the display (e.g., “1130 of 1178 Tracks”). But, inevitably, the “hidden” tracks are eventually displayed again.
This is a recent development, so I’m guessing the bug was introduced with a recent build.
Hi, @Jose_Vines, @ramonesfan, thank you for the report. We are going to take a look at it. However, may I kindly ask you to record a video when you reproduce this issue, please?
@Jose_Vines, I am asking because there is a strange state in your screenshot. You are saying that there are no filters in place but the Reset button is stiill present. I’d like to see how this error state appears.
I did a quick test, and it appears to only be happening with this playlist. On another playlist, I am able to add/remove tracks as expected.
The problematic playlist contains Qobuz tracks (managed via Roon, not via Qobuz) while my other playlists use local files. I wonder if that has anything to do with it? This has never been an issue before with my playlists which include Qobuz tracks.
Let me know if there’s any other testing I can do.
I also have the same problem on my Windows 10 Roon, I can’t delete tracks in my playlists. When I start removing the tracks, the reset button appears on top, but doesn’t do anything, but it disappears after restarting the server. I also can’t move tracks within the playlist. When I start drag one track to move It stays on top of all tracks, like I keep holding it. After some time it, the whole application crash.
So basically any playlist can’t be changed whatsoever for me.
It seems to happen to a certain one. I created a playlist to test and could successfully remove tracks.
I can add items.
I can’t say how often I added tracks before noticing a problem. That playlist in particular I created from a queue of music I was listening to, and then I added more music as a sort of ‘most listened to’ playlist, so whenever I’m using the radio feature, I add tracks from there. I noticed the problem after the most recent update.
Thank you for your response, @Jose_Vines, we were able to reproduce this issue and sent a ticket for our dev team. Hope they will be able to figure out what’s wrong.

Same thing is happening to me. When I remove a track from a playlist it looks like it’s just hiding it, not actually removing it. The reset button appears but does nothing. The next time I start Roon all the removed tracks are back.
Seriously, how to you screw up playlist management? This needs to be fixed asap as this affects that absolutely most basic functions of the app.
Are all of your playlists exhibiting this behaviour or only one/couple of them? I am asking because in previous cases only certain playlists were affected. In case all of your playlists are affected, the useful information for us is going to be:
Amount of tracks in this playlist?
Source of content?
How often have you been modifying this playlist previously?
Can you add tracks or edit the playlist which you cannot remove tracks from now?
@Robert_Hornik, could you, please, answer the same questions and also clarify this
Is it something which is happening to any playlist or only those affected by the removal bug?
I found out that this issue doesn’t occur in all playlists. Maybe, but I’m not 100% sure, it has to do something with how often I changed the playlist before, because the issue seems to appear in playlists that I edited recently, but not in the ones that I haven’t edited in quite a while. My playlists contains tracks from my pc and from tidal. I’ve been editing most of my playlist pretty often. I can add the tracks into all playlist just removing and moving them doesn’t work in most of them.
This issue started happening since most recent update. I hope this issue will be fixed soon. Thanks
