Roon keeps disconnecting from My NAS Music Storage

Since last night roon keeps disconnecting from my nas storage. I can access my nas through other apps with no issue. I m not sure if this could be due to recent roon updates as i noticed this is a common issue in the past and has been fixed by new updates from roon.

Pls advise if there is any solution available now

Roon keep disconnecting from my nas over last 2 days. No issues previously

Please post additional information. What is your network environment (what is connected by Ethernet cable, what is connected via WiFi, what router do you use, do you have any switches), what version of Roon does the Nucleus Plus run, what is the make and model of your NAS?

Without this informaiton there is not much the Community can do to assist you.

It runs on ethernet using asus ax88 router. Roon version 2.0 build 1311. Nas is qnap ts-x73a

No switches used

Have you checked your cables? Is the ASUS router admin page showing that everything (Roon Core, NAS, Roon Remotes) is connected to the router?

Set your router to give a static ip to the qnap

Everything is connected. No error

This was set and done before this happen.

Completely agree. I have same problem with my initial setup few years ago.

Once the static IP was set for my QNAP NAS, never happen again.

I think some software glitch has caused this. Seeems to be almost similar issue as me. Roon support pls resolve the mess you create

I think your problem is in your Qnap and/or your network setup, and not with Roon.
I run Roon on TS-873A and have no such problem. It is probably some setting you need to change somewhere …

I find it frustrating on suggestions that point the blame on my set up and not something roon latest update has caused.

I have no issue on my NAS until the recent update. I’m not sure if you have updated your build to 1311 [Moderated].

I have attached posts from an other user who faced almost similar issue and he solved it by reversing the update.

If possible, could you please bring your Nucleus back online and reproduce this issue? This time, share the specific date and UTC time so we can take a closer look at things for you. Please ensure your core and NAS have a direct connection to your router while we troubleshoot.
