Roon "Known Issues" Pin

Hey. I don’t know if Roon dev knows or cares about the subscribers, but it would appear at least on the Facebook group(s) that there have been some serious issues going on with playback and searches, etc.

I have not found or seen a ‘known issues’ tab/pin/notice, but you really need one.

I am a lifetimer and have until recentlly had zero complaints about Roon. I am now having so much trouble operating the software that I am not even using it more often than not. It will not stream from Qobuz or my own library without stopping one or two songs in. That is NOT what I paid for with a Lifetime sub!

Yes, I see numerous folks with the exact same issue, but no response from Roon…That doesn’t sit very well with customers.

However, I note that you haven’t opened a support ticket since 2023. Perhaps you should give Roon the opportunity to help you resolve your current issues?

The two current issues are pinned to the top of Support (by mods AFAIK). Roon staff could place a banner to the top of the forum but sadly they rarely use it and the forum gets overrun with new threads about the same issue

Thank you. I never know where to post on forums. I really don’t like these forums. I have a devil of a time finding anything, let alone finding it again or seeing notifications about responses to posts. Forums generally are getting worse to navigate, not better. So I post infrequently and don’t expect any results. More of just a grumble zone.

When you see dozens if not most of the FB posts stating the exact same issue, there really should be a noticeboard or pinned splash notice stating they are aware and are working on the fix. Instead, I’ve seen….’Nothing’.

Again though, thanks for moving it to the appropriate subject. I’ll try the support ticket even though the general consensus is that they rarely respond.

Roo is here? He’s a wonderful little guy. Kanga is a very caring mother and even though Roo’s father isn’t in his life, Pooh and Owl and the rest make an excellent family.

I wished, for a long time, that Roon employees would show up with accountability and enthusiasm in this forum. If we can’t have Peacock, at least we can have the fellows from the Hundred Acre Wood. That’s better than nothing.

Not exactly the first time this has been requested (2021 and since) but I expect the response will be the same as before and we are still waiting. Problem is it will be a long list of issues, which doesn’t look good.

Well they don’t have to list every issue :wink: just new ones that amount to outages

Is there a place where you can quickly see the “current status of Roon operation”? At the moment, for example, many are affected by the fact that Added Date for many Qobuz albums is wrong and (even worse) that many tracks from Qobuz cannot be played in Roon (although they can be played from the Qobuz app). It would be nice not to have to search through a huge user forum to find out if the problems you are experiencing are known issues.

And sorry for putting this in uncategorized, but I do not see how to move this post into a more prominent category.

The Qobuz issue is already in discussion, massively. Updates will come. They’re already working on it.

Yes, I know I’m an idiot. I’m truly sorry for that. What I’m asking is if there is one place, where I can watch current status of Roon operation, so that I do not have to search for every issue. Other services has “Current malfunctions” - one place to check if you experience problems.

(I’m well aware of the status of the two mentioned current problems - after spending quite some time finding out, that I’m not alone)
