Roon looses connection to Linn DSM every few minutes

Roon Core Machine

Intel NUC core i5 32GB Ram, SSD disk
Ubuntu 22.04

Networking Gear & Setup Details

Between the intel NUC and Linn DSM there are 3 D-link unmanaged switches (DGS-1008D), everything cabled. My intel NUC is in another room.

Connected Audio Devices

I Only use the Linn DSM tested connection.
I don’t need Roon ARC, has disabled via port=0. Suppose it still runs.

Number of Tracks in Library

22000

Description of Issue

After upgrading to 2.0 my setup has started to loose connection to my Linn DSM.

Resulting in “No audio device found” in the Roon apps (MacOS, IOS, iPhone, iPad, all of them fully updated with the new Roon version 2.0 and their OS’es)

After a few minutes connection might get back again:

Any suggestions or help appreciated.

No help or comments on this issue, that makes Roon unusable.
I have not been able to Play Music via roon since the upgrade to 2.0.
Meaning I will cancel roon before next payment.

You can go back to the 1.8 legacy version.
I am also a Linn Selekt DSM user but I am always cautious to upgrade and prefer to wait a few weeks until the new edition proved to be stable/compatible or first bug fix releases are done. Of course solving the problems now are better than downgrading.

I have 3 Linn DSM devices (2 x Klimax and 1 x Akurate) in two locations (NUC core and QNAP core) and 2.0 runs without any problems. I haven’t configured ARC because I don’t need it. So it can work.

Apologies for the delay in response here, we are dealing with a bit of a backlog since the 2.0 release and we’re working as quickly as we can to get back to all our users.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having an issue with your Linn device. I am looking over your diagnostics and I noticed your Core hasn’t been online for a while, can you please turn it on? I’ve enabled some additional logging.

Are you also seeing the issue when using Airplay to your Linn zone? Or does it only occur when using the Linn protocol? Are you using the latest firmware on the Linn?
