Roon needs frequent restores from backup, is losing all Qobuz tracks then

Description of Issue

Roon Server installed on Mac, Library on external hard drive. Main issue is that Roon every second time or so corrupts its database and asks for a backup, today even two times in a row. When the restore is done, all my Qobuz albums disappear. Maybe today Qobuz itself is unstable, but playing the same album (which now is not marked as fav any more) just after a search works flawlessly. It feels like your api connection to Qobuz fails. I did about 12 restores in the last few weeks and I am busier with Roon maintenance now than with listening to music. Very annoying.

Today Qobuz had malfunctions.
Corrupt database, however, is a big problem, especially if it happens to you often. Will it be a hardware problem or some audio file with an exceptional problem?..

I renamed my raatserver folder after the 3rd restore and restored again. No failure in the last 30 minutes, but existing Qobuz favs continue to disappear from my library. the myqobuz area still shows all my favorites. This just amounts to losing my track likes. When re-adding a qobuz album it stays, so it doesn’t seem to be a failure on qobuz‘ side, but a discovery issue in roon

Check your firewall for an exception for raatserver. I’ve just had a similar issue for a Roon Server on a Windows PC (My Qobuz was showing all the albums I had added to my Roon library, but there was nothing in the library itself). When I added the exception for raatsever, the albums started syncing again.

Hi Geoff,

Good hint, but I‘m running my network and router config with roon and qobuz successfully for years now and had never an issue with it. Also, roon is able to fetch all Qobuz content in the my qobuz section. Chances are extremely low that this might solve it
