Roon not finding tracks in Compilations subdirectory (ref#K9Y8TT)

How can we help?

· I'm having trouble adding music to my library

Describe the issue

Very odd issue. Roon is finding most of my music (via SMB from ROCK to my MacStudio) but doesn't see the tracks in the Compilations subdirectory of the itunes music directory

Describe your network setup

Hard wired ethernet unmanaged switches

More details:
I’ve tried many solutions.
Separately sharing the compilations subdir from the Mac.
Tried via roon → settings → storage adding the compilations subdir as a separate storage location. (the subdir didn’t show up while browsing within the itunes dir so I couldn’t add it).
Restarted the Rock system.
Confirmed via my laptop that I can access the compilation directory tree over SMB (so not a permission problem).
At a loss as to why this dir used to be discovered / tracks available via roon but now it is not seen by roon.

Btw this dir tree is built by ripping CDs via iTunes, so I don’t want to move it or rename it.

So, Via itunes/apple music I selected some albums and set them to not be compilations - and suddenly roon discovered the directory tree and is adding it to the roon library. Problem seems to be fixed but don’t know why it started…
