In April 2023, following an update, the 'Album Dates for sorting' setting stopped being recognised for viewing albums within artist. On PC and iOS Roon. It always sorts on Original Release Date no matter what is selected. Note that ARC works correctly and does recognise this setting within Artist. It is very easily reproducible. I have requested many times that you fix this bug which you introduced 18 months ago.
Describe your network setup
Roon server running on Windows 10 PC. This is not a network or setup issue it is a bug.
I think this is probably the same issue as I reported here in April 2023, a ticket exists but at least in March wasn’t fixed yet. (I haven’t checked now)
I’d actually be interested if your issue was fixed. They did put out a fix relating to sort order about 6 months ago but it never addressed this issue.

I’ll look forward to it being fixed. For me the order of the CDs on my shelves is pretty important. This bug stops Roon being able to do it the way I want in the digital realm. So for me it’s a biggie. Hence I’ve had to revert to JRiver Media Center for the past 18 months. Once it’s fixed I’ll go back to Roon as my main music management sw.
