Roon not recognizing T+A 200 DAC, but plays thru HQP

My T+A 200 DAC is not listed as an endpoint in Audio setting zones. However, it plays the roon library thru HQPlayer using a RaspberryPi NAA. Everything is connected via ethernet.

How do I get roon to recognize the T+A200 as a distinct audio zone so I can play without HQP?

How? I don’t see the DAC 200 even having an Ethernet port. The DAC is listed as Roon Tested, this likely refers to its USB input.

Maybe find an RPi OS that supports Roon and HQP? That may still require you to decide to chose between one of the two at a time though (IDK). Maybe post in the Audio Gear Talk > Raspberry Pi section of the forum if you need suggestions.

Yes, ur right, the T+A does not connected to Internet. So, I need a roon bridge. Googling this question you get mostly bad info saying the 200 is either roon ready or tested and not do much anything about needing a bridge if not connected directly to roon

Thx

Ropieee is a good option - and contains both a roon Bridge and HQ Player NAA.

It is very well supported by the author on these forums.

Thanks, Greg. I’ll check it out

To clarify things:
The DAC200 is roon tested, which means it can be connected to a roon server or roon bridge via USB.

Devices that can be connected to a roon server via ethernet fall in the roon tested category. This is the case for the T+A MP200.

So the combination T+A DAC200 + MP200 is roon ready and this combination can be connected to roon via ethernet.

The DAC200 in stand-alone mode is roon tested and can be connected directly via USB or through a roon bridge via ethernet.

Yes. Thx. Requires a roon bridge

I think you meant Roon Ready category, not tested.

Oh sorry, I meant Roon Ready - that is correct …
