· Hi. I've recently bought a Nucleus One and installed an internal SSD. I have also organised storage over my network. Under storage i have Roon internal folder and Nucleusone/Data folder. I transfer files over the network which pop into Roon webpage. I have disabled the Roon internal folder because 2 of everything i transferred over the network was happening. Am i doing the right thing by disabling the internal folder? Are my files getting saved on the internal folder?

Hello @Mark_Olivetta

Thanks for reaching out! To answer your question directly: disabling the Roon internal folder isn’t the recommended approach here. It sounds like you’ve accidentally instructed Roon to watch the same files twice, which is why you were seeing duplicates.

When you install and format an internal SSD in your Nucleus One, Roon automatically creates a dedicated InternalStorage folder and monitors it by default. You do not need to manually add the Nucleusone/Data folder as a separate “Watched Folder” in your Roon Storage settings. Because both paths were looking at the same drive, Roon was importing every track twice.

Here is how to set it up the right way:

  1. Re-enable your default “Roon internal folder” in Settings > Storage.
  2. Remove or disable the manually added Nucleusone/Data folder from that same Storage menu.
  3. Moving forward, when you transfer files over the network, ensure you are placing them specifically into the InternalStorage directory. As mentioned in the guide you linked, the exact path should be \\NUCLEUS\Data\Storage\InternalStorage (for Windows) or smb://NUCLEUS/Data/Storage/InternalStorage (for Mac).

Once you do this, your files will be safely saved on the internal SSD, and Roon will only scan them once.

Thank you @vadim. That fixed it up
