Description of Issue

I’ve used this setup since late 2021 with no issues; three days ago I went into my listening room for a session and neither the iPad or MacBook Pro Roon Remote app could find the Nucleus Plus.

I ran diagnostics on the switch and port the Nucleus Plus was connected to and discovered the device was not querying the network or providing evidence of continuous connection.

I viewed my network Cisco Meraki Dashboard and saw the Nucleus Plus connecting and reconnecting for no apparent reason. I changed ports on the same switch and it still kept the same behavior. I ran a switch diagnostic and recycled power on all devises. No change. I used two different patch cords, but no change.

I finally moved the device to another switch and tried two separate ports. No change.

I called Cisco Meraki Tech Support and had a network engineer run diagnostics. He pinged the device and didn’t get a response. He told me the device was not communicating with the network and was showing a 10MBs link connection vs. the usual 1GBs link connection.

He believes the device is malfunctioning, especially after no improvement when moving it between different ports and switches, and trying new patch cables. My Cisco Meraki network status is all “green” with no issues on routers, switches, APs, etc.

@Gary_Kyle, just a fellow user here. Can you connect a monitor and keyboard to your Nucleus Plus and post what is visible on the screen?

I plugged the Nucleus Plus into a TV/Monitor. There is no input signal on any combination of HDMI A or B ports on the Nucleus Plus and HDMI1 and HDMI2 ports on the TV.

It appears to not be active or booting. I am tagging Roon’s @support for you, this may require more information with them.
