· I'm noticing slowness when using the Roon App or Roon ARC
Describe the issue
This is follwing my recent "Has anyone else had very slow and laggy performance since the update yesteday?" from October 17th in the forum. My experience is general slow down / lag of all functions immediately after the last update, not the lightning fast performance i've always had with Roon. Adding music to my library is slower, more. loading screens when clicking on anything. Functions become slower and slower resulting in Roon getting stuck on a "loading album" page which forces a reboot. Things are snappier are a reboot but slow down after a few hours use. All of my music is local on an external HD.

Fibre broadband with wi-fi. Roon is accessed over wi-fi.
As you might guess, the first thing we’ll want to do is test performance with a hardwire ethernet connection from your Roon Server directly to your primary router. Let me know how that goes
With that, what is the current RAM on the Mac you’re using for Roon, and how many tracks are currently within your Roon library?
Are you performing any specific actions during this time, or is it your typical music browsing and general playback?
Does the slowness only happen after adding new music? If you don’t add any new music for some time, does Roon then perform as expected? You can also want to set your On-Demand and Background Audio Analysis speed to Throttled in Roon Settings → Library to see if that helps.
Things just get slower and slower until I have to reboot then things are back to normal for an hour or so and it’ll get slower and slower again regardless of what i’m doing, adding or just listening with no extra tasks.
