Roon playing about 40 seconds of a song, then dies

Description of Issue

Roon takes forever to load. Often hangs for hours.
Once it is loaded it it takes forever to find an album
Once the album is located it takes forever to load the first track
Then it dies between 20 and 40 seconds.

Kill Roon, start over. Same thing.

Did it work before in this setup and did the problem suddenly start? Or always problems?

8 GB RAM for Windows and Roon is quite tight for a quite large 125,000 track library. See recommendations:

For more than 100,000 tracks, 8 GB are recommended for ROCK and ROCK does not need a large part of it for Windows.

This problem started about three months ago.

The library size and PC has not changed in a couple of years.

I’ve uninstalled Roon.

Reinstalled Roon, waiting for the library to complete importing.

Stay tuned.

All the network hardware and wiring has not changed and works with all other network clients --Apple TV etc.

For the time being the issue was resolved by uninstalling, then reinstalling Roon. Required a complete library import. Time consuming.
