Roon radio is not working cannot load tracks

Good afternoon,

My Roon radio cannot load tracks from a radio station. It sais that the adress of the station is not valid. Is there anyone wno can help with this issue? I hava read that this happens more often.

Thanks

Hello @Nico_Hettinga , can you let us know a bit more please? What radio station are you having trouble with?

Is it just the one station or all?

Were you able to play from this station before?

I could play all the radio stations but later no more. All the stations are not working. Erlier I had a chat with a person and he send me a adress of a radio station and that did work.

So something has changed in your setup. Any idea what that could be?

What is your core running on?

And can you play a flac radio station? For example 95bfm. (This will test your codecs)

No changes, bbut 95bfm is playing allright

The core is a nuc

It seems something has something happened to your codecs. Did you set them up ok? See KB arricle.

Does the nuc web admin page show ‘missing codecs’?

No, the codecs work fine

Yet you cannot play non-flac radio stations? That is confusing.

To be clear, can you play
CJSW (aac)
WRFG (mp3)?

Can you post a station that doesn’t work for you?

Both are playing fine! Are that radio stations? What doesn’t play for instance is calm radio- mozart

Calm Radio - Mozart works fine for me.

Could your DNS cache have got corrupted?

Hello Brian, what is that the DNS cache?

It is the station I meant

The DNS cache is the temporary storage of information about previous address lookups. So rather than asking a DNS server what the IP address of a server name is, the answer (once found) is kept locally. If this is corrupted, you never get to the right internet place. A new lookup will work because there is no corrupted local copy.

Easiest way to try and fix is to reboot both the nuc and router.

If that doesn’t work, we’ll move over to support.

Sorry, still not working. I did some sear hing and found out that Ziggo, the network firm, has probebly a problem with old DNA servers. Perhaps sensible to contact Ziggo?

Perhaps. Either way, I am out of ideas, sorry.

I’m moving this thread to #support where more help will be available from @support. Please post as much information about your setup as possible for them.

Hey @Nico_Hettinga,

@BrianW was kind enough to move the topic to the Support section, so that our technical team can help.
